BOAT OF GARTEN
Boat of Garten is a peaceful village situated amongst heather-clad hills and native woodlands and is the perfect location for your holiday, whether as a couple or with family and friends and has excellent local facilities within walking distance of the Cottage.
Best known for its excellent golf course, Strathspey Steam Railway and the Ospreys at Loch Garten, it offers a great base from which to explore the Cairngorms National Park and the many attractions of Spey Valley and beyond.
Cyclists and walkers can set off from the cottage and follow numerous tracks to Loch Garten, Nethybridge, Aviemore and beyond.

Village Shop & Post Office
David and Beth have a lovely, compact and welcoming shop which is really well stocked with all essential items you would need.
Open in the summer this great little coffee shop is run by Nash and Heather who also own adjacent bike shop (Ride Cairngorm).

A welcoming bar and restaurant with sizeable patio to the front and situated next to the Strathspey Steam Railway.

There are many walks around the village, including an all-abilities path, which take you through the woods or down by the River Spey

Strathspey Steam Railway
A ten mile restored section of the original Highland Railway Line and runs between Aviemore, Boat of Garten and Broomhill.
Cairngorm Mountain Range and Loch Morlich are 20 minutes away by car and the surrounding area has a wide variety of attractions such as Malt Whisky Trail, galleries, craft shops, golf courses, outdoor activity centres and you can reach the beautiful Moray Firth beaches like Nairn and Findhorn within an hour.
